My Stand about Death Penalty

“Every life is sacred, ever human person is endowed with an inalienable dignity, and society can only benefit from the rehabilitation of those convicted of crimes… a just and necessary punishment must never exclude the dimension of hope and the goal of rehabilitation.” -Pope Francis

As what our Pope has said, “every life is sacred” and so as Catholics, we should do something in order for us to have the right punishment that does not include killing people. We don’t need to have death penalty in our country. In fact, there are a lot of other things that our government could use other than killing.

Why disagree to death penalty? Here are five: First, people may be wrongly executed. Second, crime rates have gone down. Third, death sentences are handed down arbitrarily, not in a fair manner. Fourth, violates international human rights laws. Lastly, KILLING IS WRONG.

Classroom Series SY 16-17: Recollection

Last August 12, me and my classmates went to Mornese Center of Spirituality in Laguna for our class recollection. Together with us are Ms. Abe (adviser), Sister Levy (CLE teacher), Ms. Mendoza (assisting teacher) and Sister Tess (preacher). We departed around 6:30 AM and arrived around 4PM same day.

We didn’t took a lot of pictures during the session because we wanted to make our recollection peaceful, meaningful and fruitful for each one of us. So that’s it!
